Privacy policy

This site collects very little about you. Here is exactly what, and why.

Who runs this site

Use Case Archive is run by Andy Wood, who also writes the Answerable newsletter. Andy is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: mail@towerone.com.

What we collect

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records how you use the site: pages viewed, the page you came from, approximate location, browser and device type, and a cookie identifier. It is used to see which entries are useful. We don't collect your name, email address or anything you type. There are no accounts, comment forms or sign-up forms on this site.

If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent.

Our legal basis

Analytics runs only with your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.

Cookies and your choice

Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept. To change your mind, use the Cookie settings link in the footer. Your choice is remembered in your browser (in local storage) so you aren't asked on every visit. We don't use advertising cookies and we don't sell data.

Who else receives data

How long we keep it

Google Analytics data, including data tied to a cookie identifier, is kept for 2 months and then deleted automatically. Server logs are kept by the host for a short period under its own policy.

Links to other sites

Entries link to outside sources, and the site links to Answerable and AI Prompt Hackers. If you subscribe there, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. Email mail@towerone.com. Because analytics data is anonymous to us, we may not be able to link it to you. If you're unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
