The job

Through the Scottish Government funded National AI Adoption Programme, The Data Lab built a prototype tender analysis tool for the practice. Staff upload tender documents and the tool pulls out requirements, deadlines and scoring criteria, flags risks, scores and ranks opportunities, and drafts bid responses from the firm own case studies, with staff reviewing and adjusting the results.

Tool: Custom Built

What happened

Each user saves around 2 hours a week on tender review and preparation.

The practice says it can now assess and pursue more opportunities with the same staff, and bid decisions follow a consistent scoring approach rather than individual judgement.

Before you believe it

Andy override: Bracewell has about 29 staff itself but is owned by GEG Capital, whose consultancy group has more than 200 specialists, so it fails the group size test applied to other subsidiaries. The case study was also written by The Data Lab, which built the tool, and the tool is still a prototype.
